St. Paul School’s Expanded Learning Program
St. Paul’s Expanded Learning Program provides expanded learning opportunities for a group of students and families who are committed to a longer school day.
A 21 st Century grant provides funding for this program. It offers homework assistance and academic support and enrichment in the areas of:
Science, Technology, Engineering, Executive functioning, Arts, Athletics, and Math (STEEAAM) on regular school days, Before School and After School, and on some non-school days.
Students will also receive a healthy breakfast, a light supper, and a snack.
If you are interested in your students taking advantage of the ELP, you will have to make a commit for them to attend regularly. Interest forms and teacher recommendations for students will be sent out to you the first week of school. Our goal is to serve the majority of our students.
There are a limited number of spaces for the ELP and families. If we have more applicants than space available, we will accept students into the program based on the criteria listed below.
Students will be enrolled in the ELP according to the following:
1st Priority - Students who need additional help to perform at grade level
2nd Priority - Students who will participate in all components of the ELP:
· Before school (at least 45 minutes before school begins)
· After school (from the end of the school day until 6 pm)
· Occasional Saturday Family Events
· Summer and Intersession Camps
3rd Priority - Students who receive financial aid from school or any outside agency
4th Priority - Siblings of students accepted in the ELP
5th Priority - All other students
This is a FREE program.
