The St. Paul Athletics Program encourages all students to develop a healthy lifestyle, promote an appreciation of fair play, create an enjoyment for games and participate in team sports.
St. Paul Athletics (SPA) includes community and Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) sports to provide a complete athletic experience to the students of St. Paul School and to registered parishioners of St. Paul Church that reside within the parish boundaries.
Sports are an important aspect for the school, students and parents. At St. Paul School your child has the opportunity to play soccer, volleyball, basketball, track and field, t-ball and baseball. Each season (Fall and Spring) offers every grade a sport to play and the opportunity to belong to a team and develop techniques that will enhance their participation in that sport. Students who belong to a team learn how to interact with others, resolve conflicts among peers and develop a healthy physical routine of exercise.
Parents are given an opportunity to be an active participant in their child's extra curricular activity, volunteer as a coach and assist their child in making healthy choices. Coming together as a community for games and practices allows parents the chance to monitor their child's progress in a sport as well as giving them the opportunity to develop friendships among peers. It is important for children to witness their parents positively interacting with other adults. It makes children feel good to have their parents around them.
The school benefits from the spirit of the sports, gathering of the community and the boosting of the general morale of the school. Sports help to form relationships among students and create a stronger student body.
St. Paul Athletics offers a strong program with happy athletes, solid and consistent parent involvement and a time to be together as a community sharing in fun and laughter.
